I am currently in the process of having my portable, light weight and efficient raku kilns (not pictured below) (and soon portable cone 10 kilns) in the review process for manufacturing.

The kilns I am currently working on were derived from the kilns below.  I can make the plans/pictures available for both kilns below for $99.  You will save at minimum $500 and up if you built it yourself.  These plans are for converting an outdoor fireplace into a raku kiln or converting a garbage can into a raku kiln.  I have well over 130 firings on these kilns and they work flawlessly.  They are light weight and I can throw them into the back of my mini van and take them to any site for firing workshops and residencies.  With the smaller of these kilns you can get 10 to 13 firings from one 20 pound (the kind you use for grilling) tank of propane.  The plans are step by step pictures of the building of my kilns show how and where to make cuts, assembling, etc.  They show and give you all the information you need to build a raku kiln.  I include a tool & materials list and manufactures in the USA.  I also provide video clips of firing the kilns.

Otherwise, my kilns should be on the market in the winter of 2007, at an affordable cost starting at est. $800 and up.  Currently I can build you either of the kilns below utilizing the best industrial materials available including 2" 2700 degree temperature fiber which last longer than the fiber most raku kilns are built with.  Should you desire a custom built kiln, I also offer this service. Please inquire.  These kilns, assuming they are cost effective, will revolutionize the raku kiln design do to superior design and materials used.  These kilns may also qualify as a "complete firing range kiln" reaching cone 10 temperature and providing satisfactory reduction OR oxidation capabilities.
